The countdown is coming to a close and it's finally time to jump back into the lycra body suits and hit the road! Since my experience on the 2009 ride in America, I have come a long way as a cyclist and can't wait to take this next challenge head on. I am looking so forward to this ride as I am now old enough to understand its full meaning.

My cycling has recently kicked off as I joined Palmer Park Velo, a track cycling club, and competed in the club championships. To me the ride is not only an event that raises money and awareness for an amazing charity but from personal experience, it's a ride that inspires people to go on to much bigger and greater things. Therefore I aim to complete the full thousand miles as I feel this expresses how much the event means to me and will encourage others to donate to the GIST cancer charity.
