David Hall

I've been planning, designing and leading tours worldwide with Saddle Skedaddle for the last 8 years. For a good few years prior to that I was doing the same thing but for myself and friends only, eventually I gave up my "proper" job to this full time and I've never looked back. I'm never happier than when I'm on my bike with the sun on my back and I feel very fortunate to do this for a living.

I was delighted to be invited by Wayne to get involved in the Gist 2012 ride. Our first conversations took place almost 18 months ago, we rode together with Riette and Dylan when Wayne visited the UK last year and had a lot fun. Things have progressed massively since those early conversations and with the assistance of a great team of colleagues based in Cape Town and plenty of helpful input from other Gist riders I think we've put together a fantastic tour. It's going to be a challenge for sure but it is achievable and promises to be rewarding and fun experience.

I'm looking forward to meeting and riding with each one of you in October.
