Day 7 - Montagu to Ceres. 161 km Approx.

Today we pedal up the beautiful Koo Valley - this is the fruit basket of the Western Cape. Once again the views are spectacular. The Koo Valley road spills us out onto the very busy N1, which is the Cape Town Johannesburg Highway - at this point we will dismount and transfer the bikes for about 15 km to the beginning of the Ceres Road. The start of this section takes us past a game reserve and there's a good chance of spotting some wild animals. The road to Ceres undulates, with a few short challenging sections before arriving in the town that is named after the Roman goddess of agriculture and also home to the international fruit juice brand - Ceres.
